Healing On Wheels!
Meeting the people where they are - delivering sustainable resources to their DOOR.
Healing on Wheels meets families where they are—literally. We deliver baby items, hygiene essentials, food, and household goods right to the doorstep of those who need it most. Led by community navigators with lived experience, this program bridges gaps in access, provides relief, and brings healing and hope to neighborhoods across Central Texas.
We serve families across Austin and Central Texas—including the 78721, 78723 78724, 78702, 78744, 78741, 78754, 78753, 78751 zip codes, as well as the surrounding communities of Kyle, Buda, Round Rock, Hutto, and Manor. Our focus is on supporting families who have been displaced or impacted by gentrification, immigration, Project Connect, the 1928 Master Plan, inflation, and other systemic barriers affecting daily stability and access to resources.
A mother reached out needing a car seat and baby care items for her family. These essentials helped her safely attend doctor appointments and care for her baby.
Another household we supported included a disabled family member without access to transportation—so we brought the resources directly to their door.
We also assisted someone transitioning out of homelessness with basic need items as they began rebuilding stability.
From foster youth to all families in crisis, The Healing Project continues to meet people where they are—working upstream to prevent emergencies before they happen.
Our services may shift as we continue to build capacity and transition out of our current space. Right now, we are focusing on serving families who are unable to make it to us. If we are not able to secure a new space in time, we will expand and strengthen our Healing on Wheels program to ensure families continue receiving essential resources. We’ll keep the community updated every step of the way.
